Good, Old Country Music…
Tex & Mary Style
This winter, like most others in the past few years, finds us busy planning and promoting our two big music festivals and working on booking programs for churches, theaters and events, primarily for Summer 2015.
Once we have these plans a bit more firm, we’ll post them to our website, but in the meantime, we invite you to check out our newly revised site. Let us know what you think of the site and, if anything isn’t working correctly or if you have ideas for improvements. Just contact us via our Contact Us page. We’d love to hear from you!
Who We Are, What We Do…
One-of-a-kind songs, unique harmonies and silly stories are what our shows are all about.
In addition to a variety of classic country tunes, our songs deal with a range of subjects–including life on the farm, driving a truck for a living, being a cowboy, Jesus as a young boy, ordinary country folks and lots more.
For 30-some years now we have entertained guests at festivals, resorts, community concerts, churches and RV rallies across the country. We present the NelsoNucka Country Music Festival each July in Nelson, Nebraska and the Miles of Memories Country MusicFest each September in Hastings, Nebraska. Both events are suitable for the entire family, with lots of music, fellowship and fun for fans of traditional country and gospel music.
Tex is originally from Texas (by way of Nebraska) and is an award-winning vocalist, guitar, mandolin and Dobro player. Together we’ve won awards for our harmony singing as well and we’re long-time members of the Mid-America Country Music Hall of Fame. Mary calls Nebraska home…and is proud of her farm-girl heritage. When we’re not on the road, we base at a “lot-on-the-lake” near Streetman, Texas.
We hope you’ll enjoy our lively banter, smooth harmonies and special songs…and our spirited delivery of the music we love, old-time country!
