Workshops, Theme Shows, Seminars,
Barn
Dances & More...
One of the wonderful things about working with the entertainers who share their music with us at the MusicFest
is that they have so many talents and so many varied interest areas. We
enjoy capturing some of those special talents and interests in a variety of
theme shows, seminars and other activities. Tribute shows, Gospel
music shows, silly skits, reminiscing and interview programs and much more
combine to fill our morning programs. Workshops cover such things
as beginning instruments, songwriting, harmony, music history and more.
Seminars can cover such subjects as RV topics, stories behind country songs,
starting an event in your community among various other topics.
We're planning a Gene Autry Tribute in honor of the
Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum and their big film & music festival, which had it's
last event in 2009. We hope that, in some small part, we can carry on what
that great event was all about...honoring the cowboys of the Old West and those
wonderful Western films of the 1930s, '40s and '50s.
The Barn Dances have become a treasured activity
of our MusicFest. Each evening after the concerts are finished, you're
invited to kick up your heels to some great country music. It's fun and
entertainment like it used to be, back when folks gathered at a neighbor's house
or barn, cleared out the furniture or hay bales, and danced to a lively fiddle
and a spirited guitar!
Guaranteed, you'll enjoy our 2010 MusicFest
entertainers doing some of the fun stuff that they don't always get to do on the
concert stage. Check back to this page for more details on the various theme
shows, workshops and seminars that will be happening at the 2010 MusicFest.
